What is a packaged bank account?
A Packaged Bank Account is a current account with extra features. These extra features vary but may include mobile phone insurance, breakdown cover and better interest rates on other financial products such as loans. There is usually a monthly fee attached to this type of account. Many banks charge for these additional features, even when the customer is unable to take advantage of them. E.g. they already had mobile phone insurance.
